PLANET EXPANSION
Turn-based strategy on a procedurally generated hex planet. The game needs
JavaScript: the planet is drawn in the browser from a seed, and the server
keeps nothing but the table.
Cities are scattered across the planet. Every city you hold pays you
influence at the start of your turn. Influence is the only resource in the
game, and it buys everything.
To take a city, walk a runner into it and pay the price. In one turn a
runner covers two steps over land — or a single one over sea or ice.
You may buy a land hex if it borders your territory. Its price equals the
number of steps from your nearest city. Hence the main rule: a new city
almost always costs less than another ring of hexes around an old one.
No armies, no battles. The game ends when all the land is claimed, or when
the turn limit runs out. Whoever holds the most land wins.
Play alone against the computer, at one screen, or with friends by a link.
